Sungai Tujoh

Literally, Sungai Tujoh is translated as the Seventh River or Seventh Stream spelled in the form of Bruneian Malay language. An immigration post was built in the 1960s to control the movement of goods and people between Miri and points west in Sarawak with Brunei, at this "7th river".

Kuala Belait (Brunei)

Kuala Belait is a town in Brunei nearest to Miri. Before the bridges were made across both the Baram River and Belait River, the only way across to and from Miri would be by ferry that operates on the Belait River connecting directly to the town. Nowadays, the Rasau bridge across the Belait River takes one to the bypass road south of the town, which connects to its neighboring town Seria, all the way to Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei.
