Nasi Lemak is fried chicken, hard boiled egg or fried egg, salted fish, salted peanuts, and coconut rice mixed together; but the 'secret sauce' in all of this and the one pulling factor to become 'nasi lemak' is the sambal. Made of shrimp paste, onions, tamarind juice and chillies, it completes the Nasi Lemak, and mixed together makes for a very satisfying and fulfilling meal.
Suitable for lunch or dinner but is also preferred breakfast for many of the locals. There are many stalls selling nasi lemak in the city, ask around for the most recommended.
