Paintball is a recreational extreme-style sport or game in which players compete, in teams or individually, to eliminate opponents by tagging them with capsules containing water-soluble dye and featuring paintballs propelled from a paintball gun. The paintball arena in Miri is located at Petronas Sports Village. It should be noted that MPA Paintball Game Center is the only paintball license holder in Sarawak.
It is great outing facility for companies organizing their own team building or groups of friends to shoot one another for fun safely.

On June 10, 1945, troops of the Australian 9th Division occupied Labuan Island. Within 11 days, they had landed on the mainland and liberated Miri and Seria.
