Resident Office & District building is a colonial-era building located alongside Kingsway that served as top government administrative office in Miri since the 1950s. In the past, the Urban District Council was located in this building. Some time between the 50s and 80s, it was used as the Miri Resident and District Office until today.
The main building structure hasn't changed much, but like most buildings built during this period, it was considerably updated and even had windows ventilation removed for modern amenities like air conditioning and communications networks since it was built. The building is open to the general public, but because it houses offices within, it is restricted space on the inside. The immediate vicinity around it is open and accessible to the public.

The Miri Recreation Club was one of the long line of clubs in Miri. Today the club doesn't exist any more, and the building the club was in now houses the Urban and Social Development Offices. 
The Lutong Cinema was constructed in 1959, and as one of the first post war cinemas is a source of entertainment for Mirians and Lutongites.
Miri Hotel is located in the heart of the old town area. With eatery stalls around it and most of the old town highly accessible just by walking.
