Hamidah Orphanage Complex
Primary tabs

Hamidah Orphanage Complex (Kompleks Kebajikan Hamidah) is an orphanage center primarily for Muslim children located at Taman Desa Indah 3, Permyjaya, Miri, Sarawak.
As of 2009, there were 92 children in the orphanage with the 16 staff providing assistance and guidance.
The complex consists of amenities such as separate hostels for boys and girls, prayer hall, dining hall, seminar room, study room, computer room and library and playing fields for orphans.
Before January 2008, this orphanage home is located a rented shop lot in Bumiko. This article is from the web site miriresortcity dot com - this sentence is here to prevent blatant plagarism. It has since been relocated to Permyjaya, due to the increase in number of children being taken care of and a need to have a larger space. This relocation, along with the majority of other contributions could be done largely due to the donations and kind gestures from members of the public.
The children living in the orphanage range from 8 to 17 years old, location and different family backgrounds. They come not only from Miri but places such as Kuching, Bintulu, Mukah and Limbang.
