Kampong Pulau Melayu is a village that is located in the Miri Peninsula across the Miri River. "Pulau Melayu" is translated as "Malay Island" which meant the peninsula.

Sri Gadong Wreck

Sri Gadong was a small steel cargo vessel about 30-meter in length, commissioned to carry sawn timber when it was sunk off the coast of Miri. The wreck is a popular dive site in Miri.
