Kampong Pulau Melayu is a village that is located in the Miri Peninsula across the Miri River. "Pulau Melayu" is translated as "Malay Island" which meant the peninsula.

Ba Kelalan Apple Fest

Ba Kelalan Apple Fest is a festival to commemorate the Apple harvest in the highland located near the foot of Mount Murud. The first Apple Fest was held on March, 2007 for the 38th Apple Harvest, but the villagers have been actively involved in growing apples since 1986.

Kuala Belait (Brunei)

Kuala Belait is a town in Brunei nearest to Miri. Before the bridges were made across both the Baram River and Belait River, the only way across to and from Miri would be by ferry that operated on the Belait River connecting directly to the town.
