Beach Republic is a beach side club located along Jalan Bakam at Luak, facing the South China Sea. The club provides a venue for families to spend their time and hosts plenty of recreation facilities for guests, including its swimming pool, gym, badminton courts, provisions for beach volleyball, beach netball, beach soccer, basketball court, yoga, zumba, including all-terrain vehicle rentals, a BBQ Corner and a Burger Joint.
It was previously known as the Miri Port Club, which was a club originally specifically set up for employees of the Miri Port Authority. Like most private clubs during this period, the club suffered from funding and patronage and was opened for the public in the early 2000s, before being sold off and renovated to become what is now known as Beach Republic at the beginning of the 2010s and started operation with a soft opening on 16th November 2010.

Pustaka Miri is a two-storey building earmarked as one of the anchor nodes for the Miri City Fan. 
On June 10, 1945, troops of the Australian 9th Division occupied Labuan Island. Within 11 days, they had landed on the mainland and liberated Miri and Seria. 
Gilbert Estate is one of the older residential areas in Miri, sandwiched in the middle of what is now large commercial areas.
