Morsjaya Commercial Center is located along Jalan Miri-Bintulu road and is one of the earlier townships located further from town in Miri and is still one of the busiest. Picture taken from Merdeka Mall.

Gilbert Estate is one of the older residential areas in Miri, sandwiched in the middle of what is now large commercial areas.
Located along China Street, Cathay Cinema was one of the three large purpose-built movie theatres in Miri. Like the other cinemas of the time, the building was basically a large hall with rows of seats within and a small stage at the end, with projector screens on the wall.
Pelita pedestrian bridge at the Miri-Pujut Road in front of Pelita Commercial Area is a bridge spanning forty six meters from end to end. This bridge links the residential areas at the foothills of Canada Hill Kampung Lereng Bukit to Pelita Commercial Area.
