Bumiko Residential Area is a residential housing area located along Miri-Bintulu Road and Medical Store Road. This residential area was built in the early 1980s and predominantly consists of mainly double story semi-detach and double story terrace houses.
There are also several recreational and sporting facilities in the area, and the location of Bumiko provide convenient access to Miri city area due to its proximity.

On the Sunday of 21st, May, 1994, the "Miri Resort City" Publicity Launch Campaign was launched. The very grand occassion featured lots of shows, grand exhibitions with impressive publicity on what the future of Miri would hold.
