Desa Seri is a residential area located next to Boulevard Commercial Center and Taman Bulatan Park, developed during the late 1980s - early 1990s.
The residential area had a unique sign - a wooden 'wheel' marking the entrance of Desa Seri. The area consisted of mostly detached bungalows and semi-detached double story houses. Its close proximity with Boulevard Commercial Center (literally just across the road) makes it a very prime and highly valued housing estate.

Morsjaya Commercial Center is located along Jalan Miri-Bintulu road and is one of the earlier townships located further from town in Miri and is still one of the busiest.
"The Oil Town" Shopping Complex is a retail and shopping mall located right next to Dynasty Hotel. It was the second fully air-conditioned shopping mall complex in Miri. 
Lung Meng Enterprise (Food Court) is located near the Boulevard Commercial just before Bulatan-Pujut roundabout.
Lutong Bridge is the bridge linking Pujut 8 to Lutong across Miri River. This bridge was originally single-lane for each direction, but eventually upgraded in the early 2000s to accommodate for more traffic to double-lane going each direction. There is actually a road that goes beneath this bridge linking to Lutong Baru, effectively making this bridge Miri's very first 'overpass'.
