The Sungai Sibuti Bridge is located just off Bekenu, over the Sibuti river. The bridge is of standard single-lane dual way concrete & steel construction with concrete barriers on the sides. The bridge is an important link between Miri and Bintulu along the coastal highway.

Tanjung Baram Lighthouse is located on the north side of the Baram River entrance at Kuala Baram only 5km from the Brunei border. 
Located along China Street, Cathay Cinema was one of the three large purpose-built movie theatres in Miri. Like the other cinemas of the time, the building was basically a large hall with rows of seats within and a small stage at the end, with projector screens on the wall.
In late December 1980, strong winds, torrential rain, and heavy swells in the seas, constant heavy rains caused water from the Miri River to overflow into Lutong.
The old Piasau bridge was a Bailey bridge at Piasau linking from the peninsular to Piasau at the point closest to the sea. The bridge, originally made of steel and wood with a single lane to handle the occasional vehicle traffic crossing, has seen several upgrades over the years.
