Luak Bay Food Court is a food court that opened in 2015 alongside Luak Bay Road just off the Miri-Airport Road 'Seahorse' roundabout. The food court is located in between two shop houses and features muslim & other local foods and drinks, and has seating for about 50 tables.
The usual menu assortment of Laksa, Kolo Mee, Kueh Tiaw, and other lunch / breakfast sets can be ordered from a wide selection of stalls within.

A small, neglected Colonial era cemetery is located in between Gymkhana Club Miri and St. Columba's primary school. The cemetery contains a mix of European ex-pats, Chinese & orang Asli graves with marker stones.
The story begins with a Mr. C.C. (Claude Champion) de Crespigny, then the Resident of Baram, who was the first to record the presence of oil in Sarawak. The entry in his diary, dated 31st July 1882, refers to oil discovered in some 18 wells dug by hand by the local inhabitants.
