The Taman Tunku Miri Branch Library is a community public library located within Taman Tunku. Painted bright green, the building houses books and reference materials for the residents of Taman Tunku. It is located next to the Taman Tunku Community Center.

Sarawak had never been particularly rich in railways but it was little known that there was an actual railway laid down in an area called Ensalai, near inland of the Baram River, in 1960.
On the Sunday of 21st, May, 1994, the "Miri Resort City" Publicity Launch Campaign was launched. The very grand occassion featured lots of shows, grand exhibitions with impressive publicity on what the future of Miri would hold. 
Taman Boulevard is a residential area near Boulevard Commercial Center, and is opposite of Faradale Commercial Center.
In the old days, a ferry allows commuters to cross the river from the town to the Miri peninsula conveniently. The ferry is also vital to the hospital emergency responses.
