Taman Boulevard is a residential area near Boulevard Commercial Center, and is opposite of Faradale Commercial Center. This area is completed in the early 1990s. The houses in this residential area consists mainly of detached houses and semi-detached housing.

Established in 1999, Curtin University of Technology is the first international branch campus of Western Austrialia's Curtin University of Technology at the invitation of the Sarawak State Government to fulfill the need for a tertiary institution of international caliber to match Miri's growth.
Long before Lutong bridge was constructed, the area had a ferry service, possibly at or near the site of what is now the Lutong bridge today. These pictures were taken on 4th July, 1945 during the ending stages of the Japanese occupation, by the Australian 2/13 infantry battalion aiming to reoccupy Sarawak from Japanese.
Chan Chak Road (Jalan Chan Chak) is a small residential lane named after a wise man in Miri in the early 1900s.
