Permaisuri Imperial City Mall is one of the newer addition to shopping centers in Miri. Providing a premium shopping experience as well with its movie cineplex entertainment. Permaisuri Imperial City Mall is accessible by a multi-story link bridge from Imperial Hotel and Imperial Mall.
For those who drive, Permaisuri Imperial City has underground parking for parking convenience. Parking requires going through toll, and is MYR1 for half an hour. The underground parking is two levels deep.
Popular food and beverage chain stores are at the ground level all offering a variety of choices of food and beverage all converge. Designer brand names, popular outlets, are all located within and the upper floors have a cineplex for a complete movie going experience.

Desa Seri is a residential area located next to Boulevard Commercial Center.
Located along China Street, Cathay Cinema was one of the three large purpose-built movie theatres in Miri. Like the other cinemas of the time, the building was basically a large hall with rows of seats within and a small stage at the end, with projector screens on the wall.
Nasi Lemak is fried chicken, hard boiled egg or fried egg, salted fish, salted peanuts, and coconut rice mixed together; but the 'secret sauce' in all of this and the one pulling factor to become 'nasi lemak' is the sambal. 
'Commercial shipping' utilizing Miri as a port goes back to as early as when Miri was merely a fishing village. Being the site of the first discovery of oil in Borneo in 1910 quickened the business and pace and progress of Miri, establishing it an important and leading port for the majority of the 20th century in the region for oil and then timber industries.
