Opened in 2005, Eastwood Valley Golf & Country Club sports an international standard golf facility that comprises of 18-hole-course designed world reknown golf course designers. The Club provides an option of chalets and rooms which are spread around a beautiful and lush landscape for accomodations. The generously sized rooms are a fusion of traditional design elements and contemporary resort features. The décor reflects the vibrancy of the natural environment, and is inspired by the traditions of indigenous artisans.
The club features a swimming pool that sits over over a lake on raised platform. Other features include, but are not limited to, access to the use of electric cart (buggies) for golfing club members, a 46-bay driving range and practicing facility for golfers, fifty rentable chalets for overnight staying, a large banquet hall in the main club building, and a lake view Terrace Cafe.

The City 'Tram' was introduced in March 2008 in Miri as a free, non-profit service that the Sarawak Tourism Board implemented for tourists and hotel guests to enjoy free public transportation services.
The Lambir Canopy Walkway project was jointly coordinated by Abang Abdul Hamid, an Entomologist with the Forest Department of Sarawak together with the late Professor Tamiji Inoue of the Center for Ecological Research, Kyoto University. ProfessorTamiji Inoue was killed in a plane crash in Lambir Hills National Park.
Krokop is a large residential area that spans from Jalan Krokop Utama to Jalan Jee Foh and Jalan Krokop 1 Road to Jalan Krokop 10 Road.
